Dear Families,

Welcome back to Term 2! I hope you all had a restful and enjoyable break, with 3 public holidays – what a bonus! As we embark on this new term, I am excited about the opportunities and experiences that lie ahead for our students.

Upcoming Events and Important Dates

• Mother’s Day

Please see attached flyer from the P & F regarding Mother's Day stall and raffle tickets available through the QKR app.

Focus for Term 2

• Attendance: Regular attendance is crucial for student success. Please ensure your child attends school every day unless they are unwell.
• Winter Uniform: As the weather cools, students should transition to their winter uniforms. By Monday June 2 all students should be in full winter school uniform.
• Parent-Teacher Meetings: Scheduled for Week 10. Please feel free to reach out to your child’s classroom teacher well before this to discuss your child’s progress.

Community Involvement

• Volunteers Needed: We are looking for parent volunteers to assist with our school canteen. Canteen helpers need to be approved through the Diocese as a volunteer and complete the 1 hour free online food handling course. We are planning a launch for our canteen in Week 3, more on this later. We welcome Lynn Dover-Ong to our school team as our Canteen Supervisor.

Flexi Schools

• Restrictions with our banking authority have resulted in us needing to discontinue qkr as a means of parent payment from Week 3. Tomorrow you will receive information regarding FlexiSchools.  We continue you using qkr for Mother’s Day and uniform sales for the next week.

Communication

• After consultation with our parent community, we have decided to send home a term overview in Week 1 of each term. We look forward to your feedback.  These overviews will be sent out with the Week at A Glance this week.
