All Saints Day
On Monday, we celebrated the feast of All Saints Day with a beautiful classroom liturgy. All Saints Day is a centuries-old tradition within our Catholic Church, honouring men and women who have lived their lives the way Jesus asks us to. Many made great sacrifices in order to do God’s will. All Saints Day reminds us that we too can be saints. We are God’s eyes, His voice, His hands and His feet here on earth. When we treat each other with kindness and love, we are doing just as God desires, we are being just like the saints who have gone before us.
During our classroom liturgy, the children of St. Kevin’s reflected on the wonderful lives of many saints including;
St. Mary mother who had one of the most important and precious jobs; being the mother of Jesus.
St. Patrick who taught the people of Ireland about the Holy Trinity using a shamrock.
May these amazing men and women, who have gone before us, inspire us to be modern day saints.
May God’s Spirit be with you all each day,
Mrs Jasmina Boudan
